Income support, child protection and child supervisory services

These services are provided by the Welfare District of Forssa at the Social Work unit, situated in the Social Services office (Turuntie 18, Forssa) which is open Mon 09.00-16.00 and Tue to Fri 09.00 – 15.00. Some of these services are available also at town halls in Humppila (Kisakuja 2, 31640 Humppila), Jokioinen (Keskuskatu 29 A, 31600 Jokioinen), Tammela (Hakkapeliitantie 2, 31300 Tammela) and Ypäjä (Perttulantie 20, 32100 Ypäjä).

Services and support

Advice and guidance on child protection, help for the family in difficult situations and support with the problem areas of parenting.

Income support for times when the family's income and assets do not meet the necessary basic living costs (as specified by the government standard). Basic income support is applied from Kela.

Services for paternity, welfare and childcare issues, regarding the arrangements for the welfare and care of a child or children and the strengthening of family relationships and the responsibilities of parenthood.

Please make an appointment to see the social workers responsible for the income support applications and child protection issues. Appointments are arranged by the Service centre tel. 03 41911. The social workers are also available for consultation via telephone, Monday to Tuesday 09.00 - 10.00 and Thursday to Friday 09.00 - 10.00, by calling the number above. Child protection social workers are available for consultation via telehphone Mon - Fri 13.00 - 13.30.

A specialist social worker, the childcare officer, is responsible for the paternity as well as childcare and welfare issues and can be contacted for advice or to make an appointment from Monday to Friday 10.00 – 12.00 by calling 03 621 5640.
